Spring means that it's time to prepare for road trips; and that means getting your RV road-worthy once more. Here are a few tips to get you on the road in no time.
First things first: check your tires. Factors like pressure, lug nut torque, and tire condition can all make a big difference in terms of getting you where you want to go safely.
Sanitize your water system to rid it of any antifreeze you might have used in the winterization process. Running a mixture of 1 cup bleach to 1 gallon water through your water system will sanitize it. Ensure that the system sets for 24 hours after you bleach it, and run the water thoroughly to rid it of excess bleach particles.
Ensure that your gas appliances are working and that there are no leaks in your gas lines. Also ensure that your electrical appliances are working.
Replace the batteries in your carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.
