Summertime is well on its way. This time of year is perfect for getting together with family and friends to enjoy great food and even better company. A summertime staple (and favorite) among homeowners barbecuing. Today we bring you 3 BBQ Safety tips:
No matter how you're grilling, always grill outdoors. Choose a location that is away from branches, bushes, or your house or patio. Make sure kids and pets stay clear of the grill as well.
If you're grilling with propane, it is important to test it at the beginning of each grilling season for leaks. You can do this using the bubble test (Apply soap and water lightly to the hose and turn it on. If you see bubbles, there is a leak).
If you are grilling with charcoal, only use charcoal lighter fluid and never use lighter fluid on hot charcoal. Handle food and ovens used for charcoal grilling carefully--appropriate hand and footwear should be worn at all times.
